This was my entry from the 2018 ToA. I made a recreation of the type F posament from grave BJ 944 and applied it to a shawl inspired by the finds of female grave BJ 660. Got a lot of good feedback from the event. The hardest part of this project was determining what criteria to use when entering as well as when documenting. One of the most important take-aways for me is that documentation isn't just about your historical references, but it's about your process from soup to nuts. There is a lot more that I can add to this project, and I am very thankful for the guidance I received at the Midrealm Tournament of Arts. I had a very enthusiastic response to my project, and I am really looking forward to the challenge of taking my game further. This lovely piece is now a piece of my wardrobe, and can usually be seen with me at events when I don my Viking kit, or with my daughter when she is in hers.
